Inspired by architectural elements, the cutting and serving boards of Creative Edge have fresh patterns, uncommon shapes and great attention to detail. Functionality and versatility are key so the size and weight of each piece, edge treatment, and surface finish is carefully considered. They strive to create an everyday object that is a joy to use.Usually working with six different hardwoods, all sustainably grown and harvested, Creative Edge focuses on using the offcuts first. For the patterned boards each piece is precisely cut and fitted before being glued. A multi-step hand finishing process ensures no sharp edges and satin smooth surfaces.
Every board is designed, cut, assembled by hand in their solar powered woodshop in St. Louis, Missouri.
